We'll talk about how new immigrants are welcomed here, and how those who are already settled guide the newcomers, making them feel at home. Despite being far from one’s native country, one doesn’t really feel out of place in Toronto. It’s a large city with a significant community presence, offering numerous opportunities for work and business. The population of Toronto has grown rapidly. Over the past 24 years, Canada’s population has increased from 30 million to 40 million, with most of the new immigrants settling in Toronto. In the beginning, we had two main options. For those who preferred working in a more confined environment, office and factory jobs were available.
