Imam Jafar Sadiq AS Talking About Death

موت کیا ہے؟

جابر بن حیان (فادر آف کیمسٹری) نے حضرت امام جعفر صادق ؑ سے پوچھا: ” اے استاد مُکرم ، اے فرزندِ رسولؑ ، یہ تو بتائیے کے موت کیا ہے؟“

امام ؑ نے فرمایا: جابر سمجھ سکتا ہے؟

جابر نے کہا جی مولا ؑ اگر آپ اہل سمجھیں تو سمجھائیں ،

امام ؑ نے فرمایا :

"جابر غور سے سُن اور سمجھ جب تو شکمِ مادر میں تھا تو تاریک پردوں میں رہتا تھا وہ بہت چھوٹا سا جہاں تھا تب جابر تو نے اِس جہاں کی وسعت اور روشنی دیکھی نہیں تھی

لیکن تو اُس تاریک جہاں میں بہت خوش تھا تب تو اُس جہاں سے کسی اور جگہ جانا نہیں چاہتا تھا کیوں کہ تو نے اُس سے بڑا جہاں دیکھا نہیں تھا یہی سبب ہے کہ تو نے اِس جہاں میں آتے ہی رونا شروع کر دیا تھا

کیوں کہ تو سمجھ رہا تھا کہ میں مر رہا ہوں لیکن یہاں والے خوش تھے کے تو اُس جہاں میں پیدا ہو رہا ہے۔ یہی ہوگا جب تو یہ جہاں چھوڑ کر اگلے جہاں جائے گا وہاں والے خوش ہوں گے کہ جابر پیدا ہو رہا ہے یہاں والے رو رہے ہوں گے کے جابر مر رہا ہے ،

امامؑ نے فرمایا جابر جِسے دنیا پیدائش کہتی ہے وہ اصل میں موت ہے اور جسے دنیا موت کہتی ہے وہ اصل میں پیدائش ہے ،

جابر جتنا فرق شکمِ مادر اور اِس جہاں میں ہے اِتنا ہی فرق اِس جہاں اور اُس سے اگلے جہاں میں ہے،

جابر جیسے تو اِس جہاں میں آ کر واپس پلٹنا نہیں چاہتا ایسے ہی تو اگلے جہاں کی وسعت کو دیکھ کے پچھلے جہاں میں پلٹنا نہیں چاہے گا ،

جابر یاد رکھ جتنا فرق شکمِ مادر اور اِس جہاں میں فرق ہے اُتنا ہی فرق اِس جہاں میں اور اِس سے اگلے جہاں میں ہے اور اُتنا ہی فرق اُس جہاں اور جنت میں ہے۔

"جس کے حسنینؑ سردار ہیں۔"

What is death?

 Jabir bin Hayyan (Father of Chemistry) asked Hazrat Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS): "O Master, O son of the Messenger (AS), tell me what is death?"

 Imam (AS) said: Can you understand?

 Jabir said, "Yes Maula, if you qualify me, then please explain."

 The Imam said:

 "Jabir, listen carefully and understand, when you were in the womb of your mother, you lived in dark curtains, that was a very small place, then Jabir, you did not see the vastness and light of this place.

 But you were very happy in that dark place, then you did not want to go to any other place from that place, because you had not seen a bigger place than that, that is why you started crying as soon as you came to that place.

Because you thought that I was dying, but the people here were happy that I was being born there.  This is what will happen when it leaves the place and goes to the next place. The people there will be happy that the baby is being born. Those here will be crying because the that one is dying.

 Imam (AS) said Jabir, what the world calls birth is actually death, and what the world calls death is actually birth.

 It is as different as the difference between the mother's womb and this place, the same is the difference between this place and the place next to it.

 Just as the person does not want to return to this place, so he will not want to return to the previous place after seeing the vastness of the next place.

 Jabir, remember that as much as there is a difference between the mother's womb and this place, there is a difference between this place and the place next to it, and there is a difference between that place and Paradise.

 "Where Hasnain AS are the chiefs of Janat."
