Lenient, rude and harsh

3:159

فَبِمَا رَحۡمَةٍ۬ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمۡ‌ۖ وَلَوۡ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلۡقَلۡبِ لَٱنفَضُّواْ مِنۡ حَوۡلِكَ‌ۖ فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡہُمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ فِى ٱلۡأَمۡرِ‌ۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلِينَ

پھر الله کی رحمت کے سبب سے تو ان کے لیے نرم ہو گیا اور اگرتو تند خو اور سخت دل ہوتا تو البتہ تیرے گرد سے بھاگ جاتے پس انہیں معاف کردے اور ان کے واسطے بخشش مانگ او رکام میں ان سے مشورہ لیا کر پھر جب تو اس کام کا ارادہ کر چکا تو الله پر بھروسہ کر بے شک الله توکل کرنے والے لوگوں کو پسند کرتا ہے

So, by mercy from Allah SWT, you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So, pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah SWT. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].

Our brain is at its optimal performance 2-4 hours after we wake up..

Speech is better than Silence

When Imam Zayn al-‘Abidin (as) was asked which one was better: speech or silence, he answered:  "Both speech and silence have their harmful aspects. If both are free from harm, then speech is more excellent than silence”. It was said: “How is that, O son of the Messenger of Allah”? Imam as-Sajjad (as) answered: "Because Allah did not send His Prophets and (their) trustees with silence, but sent them with speech.
