Witnesses for Allah

An-Nisa (The Women) 4:135

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّٲمِينَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ شُہَدَآءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡ أَوِ ٱلۡوَٲلِدَيۡنِ وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَ‌ۚ إِن يَكُنۡ غَنِيًّا أَوۡ فَقِيرً۬ا فَٱللَّهُ أَوۡلَىٰ بِہِمَا‌ۖ فَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ أَن تَعۡدِلُواْ‌ۚ وَإِن تَلۡوُ ۥۤاْ أَوۡ تُعۡرِضُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرً۬ا (١٣٥)

اے ایمان والو! انصاف پر قائم رہو الله کی طرف گواہی دو اگرچہ اپنی جانوں پر ہو یا اپنے ماں باپ اور رشہ داروں پر اگر کوئی مالدار ہے یا فقیر ہے تو الله ان کا تم سے زیادہ خیر خوا ہ ہے سو تم انصاف کرنے میں دل کی خواہش کی پیروی نہ کرو اور اگر تم کج بیانی کرو گے یا پہلو تہی کرو گے تو بلاشبہ الله تمہارے سب اعمال سے با خبر ہے

O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah SWT, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So, follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

Fussilat (Explained in Detail) 41:30

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟ تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُوا۟ وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا۟ وَأَبْشِرُوا۟ بِٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ

بے شک جنہوں نے کہا تھا کہ ہمارا رب الله ہے پھر اس پر قائم رہے ان پر فرشتے اتریں گے کہ تم خوف نہ کرو اور نہ غم کرو اور جنت میں خوش رہو جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا تھا

[But] behold, as for those who say, “Our Sustainer is God,” and then steadfastly pursue the right way - upon them do angels often descend, [say­ing:] “Fear not and grieve not but receive the glad tiding of that paradise which has been promised to you!
